In Buddhism, the different states or conditions of *”Seimei" are classified into ten categories, known as the "Ten Worlds." These ten are: Hell, Hunger, Animals, Anger, Human Being, Heaven, Learning, Realization, Bodhisattva, and Buddha hood. These states are said to be drawn out and change due to *”EN".

The artwork contains LEDs engraved with numbers inside a cylindrical mirror. The LED numbers range from 0 to 9, continually changing (0 is represented by darkness). These constantly changing numbers represent the various states of "Seimei." The speed and order of these changes are random, and the colors also continue to shift through ten different hues. This reflects the idea that each of the Ten Worlds contains its own Ten Worlds, which in turn means it is the "Hundred Worlds."

The "Seimei" with these Hundred Worlds exists independently within the cylinder, but when the viewer peers inside, the image is reflected, creating various relationships. This is what is meant by "En".

This work suggests that as the states of "Seimei" connect with the viewer's "En," the Hundred Worlds evolve and change their conditions, creating relationships and forming a whole world.

Cf.   "Seimei" (生命)  refers to the comprehensive idea of life, being, existence and consciousness.
“En” (縁)causes and conditions.
